Galmaetgil Trails
The name of the trails “Galmaetgil” is a portmanteau of the words galmaegi (sesagull) and gil (road). These trails have nine routes including a coastal trail, a forest trail, a riverside trail, and an urban trail, covering a whopping 863 km in total. As you walk on these trails, which encompass Busan’s sea, river, mountains and hot springs, you will meet every inch of the city’s history, culture, and festivals.

Choryang Ibagu Trails
The word “ibagu” means a “story” in the regional dialect. Choryang Ibagu Trails stretch about 2 km from Busan Station to the mountainside road. Along these alleyways unfold the stories of the city’s modern history. Starting from former Baekje Hospital, through Choryang Church, 168 Stairs, and Yu Chi-hwan Postbox Observatory, you will be able to learn about the history and culture, the past and present of Busan.
