The vibrant light show of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, together with the brightly lit skyscrapers of Haeundae keep Gwangalli wide awake all night long. Gwangalli Beach turns into an outdoor art museum at night with a 6m-tall flowerpot sculpture and six additional artworks by famous international artists including Nam June Paik’s Digitation.

Shinsegae Centum City holds the Guinness World Record as the “largest department store in the world.” Other than the department store, it also houses a multiplex theater, an ice rink, a spa and much more. You should also hop over to the newly opened Centum City Mall. Electro Mart features a great selection of figurines, and the mall’s rooftop terrace offers great nightscapes of the city.

Busan Cinema Center

Busan Cinema Center is the place to be in autumn, when the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is held. The opening and closing ceremonies are held at the outdoor theater, and you can see famous movie stars and directors on the red carpet at the plaza. Even when it’s not BIFF season, various short and fulllength film festivals, and independent films can be seen throughout the year.

Dongbaek Station
Dongbaekseom Island

Spring begins when Dongbaekseom, which translates to “Camellia Island,” is covered in bright red camellias. The island is ideal for walks along the beach and peaceful forest trails, and the lookout with a small lighthouse offers magnificent views of the Nurimaru APEC House against the blue ocean and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. The Bay 101, where yacht tours are available, also offers great nightscapes of Marine City.

The hotter the summer, the greater the excitement of people on Haedundae Beach. Near and around the beach, where various water sports and activities can be enjoyed, are many high-end hotels and restaurants, particularly fresh seafood restaurants. And only five minutes away is a traditional market famous for its wheat noodles topped with boiled pork slices and pickled radish.

Tip: An Oceanside Aquarium
An escalator takes you down to the incredible world deep in the ocean. From sharks to sea turtles, small starfish, sea horses and elegant stingrays, you can see various sea creatures up close. One of the more popular programs at the aquarium is the transparent boat tour of the fearsome shark tank.
