The clothing, shoes, accessories, and many other shops lining the alleys by Ewha Womans University are trendy and very affordable, and Yonsei-ro, a car-free street in the Yonsei University area, is always festive. On weekends, busking and other street performances fill the air with enthusiasm. The Sinchon Tourist Information Center built in the former Sinchon Train Station and Play Bus, a red double-decker bus renovated to serve as a rest area where visitors can listen to music, are popular spots. Being a university area, the eateries are known to be good and affordable.

Also along the street is K-star Road, which if you’re a K-pop fan you must visit. Large bear dolls called “gangnamdol” are lined along K-Star Road, each representing a K-pop star. There are close to 20 dolls, so look for your favorite K-pop star and strike a pose.
