It is a romantic comedy musical that depicts a funny yet realistic struggle of youths to gain love from a perspective of ‘dating guru.’ The love story unfolds among three characters; ‘Poong’ is a popular webtoon artist who cannot get over his love, ‘Byeol’, while ‘Dal’ needs to obtain the copyright of ‘The Art of Seduction’ webtoon in order to become a full-time employee at her publishing company, and ‘Byeol’ is the first love of ‘Poong’ and also twin sister of ‘Dal’.

A touching story about brotherhood
LOVE COMES WITH THE RAIN
This story about two brothers reminds us of the importance of family. The story revolves around Dong-uk, who after losing their parents at a young age has worked very hard to support for his young siblings, Dong-hyeon, the youngest of the siblings who has come back home after seven years of leaving because he didn’t agree with Dong-uk’s way of life, and Miri, a wedding planner who accidentally gets involved with the brothers. Feelings are hurt and things are left unsaid in the name of love, but like a rainbow after the rain, all is healed and bettered because they’re family.

This musical tells the story of the lower middle class living in the outskirts of Seoul. The two main characters meet as they’re hanging their laundry and gradually fall in love with each other. Perhaps the best of Korean traditional performing arts, the performance stages various different genres of Korean traditional music. The Center’s four performing groups made up of the country’s best musicians and performers put on an exceptional stage featuring traditional court, folk and original music, as well as dance and other performances. Especially, the Saturday Performance is unique that microphones, speakers or amplifiers are not used. Audience can hear the original and most pure sounds of Korean traditional instruments.

A unique and special combination of traditional art, drawings and holographic stage effect

KOREA SIM CHEONG
One of the best known classical novels of Korea, “The Tale of Sim Cheong” is about a blind father and his devoted daughter who is willing to throw herself in the river so that her father could see again. This production of the tale fuses various genres of art including dance, hologram imaging and drawing. The part in which painters use charcoal to draw the beautiful landscape of Korea is especially attractive.
